What led us down this journey?

It's quite simple: When we started training, we quickly realized that there was a need for high-quality, free, online medical education content in hematology and oncology. Now that we have transitioned into our attending careers, it is clear how valuable our platform is for providers looking to maintain their broad base of medical knowledge in the field.

We typically divide our episodes into mini-series, a format that allows us to explore the fundamentals of a disease state, build instruction on complex disease management integrating evidence behind our current standards of care, and highlight the unresolved questions that will direct future research. Our show model allows for anyone interested in hematology and oncology to follow and understand, including students, residents, fellows, advanced practice providers, pharmacists, and practicing physicians.

Our Vision:

To be the premier hematology and medical oncology educational podcast.

Our Goal:

Our primary goal is to develop high-quality, evidence-based podcast episodes discussing fundamentals, core concepts, and important management approaches to hematologic and oncologic diseases. Coupled with the power of social media, we aim to use our episodes to spark discussion and cultivate curiosity in our listeners.

Our secondary goal is to create an easily accessible, asynchronous learning platform which allows for a personalized educational experience to meet the needs and schedules of our learners—from early-stage trainees who will form the next generation of care providers to practicing clinicians in pursuit of lifelong learning.

Our Amazing Team Behind the Scenes

Learn more about our hosts!

  • Ronak was born and raised in the great state of New Jersey, and very proud of it. In addition to his deep interests in hematology/oncology and medical education, he loves working out, really enjoys coffee, and is obsessed with tacos. He is an avid Harry Potter fan; has insatiable wanderlust; a gym junkie; is a big fan of social media and reality TV; and enjoys exploring city food scenes with his wife.

  • Vivek grew up in Knoxville, TN and then headed to North Carolina to become a Duke Blue Devil for college. During medical school and residency, he developed a passion for medical education, which led him down this journey. He loves running with his dog (Lola) and watching TV with his cat (Lily) and his wonderful wife.

  • Dan hails from Oakland, CA and unfortunately still finds himself attached to the area’s miserable sports teams. When he’s not on call, Dan enjoys spending time in his kitchen developing and exploring new recipes; wandering the aisles of his local wine shop with a superior and knowing look on his face; and conquering local hiking trails with his husband Logan.
